As someone who has 'walked the walk' at several non-profit organizations, I can 
offer this advice:  'Work hard when doing fund-raising, but don't let it become 
the prime duty of the group.' -- This may seem like common sense, but I have 
seen many organizations lose their 'soul' through ceaseless fund-raising.
