http://videl.ics.hawaii.edu/pipermail/luau/2002-August/010091.html Additional: You might want to consider firing up a windows machine and loading the Intel Netport software on it. It functions similar to HP's JetAdmin and it may be able to contact the Print server for further configuration. I have read about issues with the netport and n-way negotiation not working correctly. Mine always initially negotiates 10Mbit until I reset it via the web interface, then it cycles and negotiates to 100Mbit, flaky but maybe part of your problem. If you can find it with the Netport software, upgrade to the newest firmware also. Printing methods. You can use SMB or LPD from either the local machines or from a central server, both will work to the Netport. I use it both ways at home (via the Samba server and directly to the printer). On my windows machines it shows up in NN like any other computer. I have a printcap included in my above link.
