I had a hardware problem...red hat 7.3 machine wouldn't boot...just sat and beeped when I powered it up.
So, I took out the only hardware that had not been working, a SoundBlaster Live!Value sound card. Machine boots, BUT in the boot sequence... Bringning up interface eth0 sits there for a long time and ultimately fails. Says its unable to find a IP for eth0. The IP should be coming from DHCP on my linksys dsl 'router'. What should I do? thanks, John Corry
