I must say that I have had great success with all kinds of win98, XP, and 2000 boxes running tridiavnc server. I am able to log into them from a linux or windows box and experience very good performance. When using xvncviewer, I use the bgr233 switch for faster refresh rates. There are times when I vnc from an original ibook running debian over dsl through our frame to a win95 or win98 box connected to our frame with its own 8k frame.. I use mrtg to monitor all of my links, and the bandwidth usage is minimal at best. I use this method to access over 50 windows boxes, and speed has never been an issue. scott
