I think I can help. I just built two boxes with this chipset, the Nvidia Nforce2, I believe. You will find, believe it or not, that there are drivers for this chipset from Nvidia. Or, to be clear, If you look at the Asus site for the A7N8X mobo drivers, you will find the linux nvidia driver for this. I have not messed with it since the boxes were for the bosses, but I was impressed that linux drivers existed. It is a sweet chipset with super sound, two very nice nics, serial ata, firewire, up to 6 usb, 8x agp, and more technical specs that impress me but that I can not repeat/recall.
