>From the moment the stage 2 install starts you can tell that Mandrake has
completely rebuilt the distro from the ground up. The new installer is
functional and asthetically pleasing. The interface is easy to use, fast, and
even more simple than previous Mandrake releases (Who thought that was
possible?).

After booting up and installing my Matrox Dual Head drivers everything is
gorgeous (KDE By the way). The new login manager is entirely too reminicient
of the Windows XP login though. The KDE 3.1 desktop installed by Mandrake is
VERY attractive. The configuration tools are very in depth and user friendly.

>From the time you first log in you realize that this is a nice distro.
Everything is fast and clean. For the first time in a long time I am
completely impressed with a Linux distribution.

Another nice surprise is the rewrite of the Mandrake Control Center. The new
interface is clean and easy to read. The response times on the applications
are much faster than in Mandrake 9.0. The software management system is much
faster than previous Mandrake versions as well.

Overall, if you haven't tried a new distribution in a while, you should
definitely try this one. If you are already a Mandrake user, you'll have all
the more reason to love this distro.

Hack away and have a good time!!!
