Dear Listers,
As I have increased my knowlege and awareness of open Source and it's
community here in Hawaii I have come to realise the importance of spreading
the good word of Open Source on to the community at large.
As such I invited Eric S. Raymond to be on our show Wednesday night and he
has accepted. He will be on talking about the history of Open Source and
where it has come up to today and where he sees it going in the future.
ESR will be interviewed by phone. Shucks, there goes the idea of taking
him out to dinner afterwards. =)
Ho'ala and Scot will also be on the program to talk about the Hawaii
connection and open Source. We will also be exploring HOSEF and Pau Spam.
I invite all of you to tune in to Thinktechhawaii radio Wednesday from
5-6p.m. on KIPO 89.3 FM. You can also tune in via the web from
http://www.hawaiipublicradio.org/livestream.htm you will need either the
Realplayer or Quicktime or the plugins for XMMS to get the stream on the
internet. Otherwise plan to be in town to listen on the air. Maybe someone
can pipe the broadcast through their soundcard and use Shoutcast to
broadcast it to the group. Email me offlist if you want to do this and I can
help you set it up.
Don
Hi Don,
Can we have permission to archive the radio show and make it available
for download?
