Can I first ask why you have those options? A directory named /www implies that is your htdoc root. Having your raw database files available via a web server is neither necessary nor safe. Also, you want to avoid having PG listen on a tcp socket if possible. PHP should be smart enough to look for the PG unix socket rather an a tcp socket. -Vince
