Well the installation was less than smooth, but it was probably because of my own dumb actions. I was trying to get a different ATI driver to work for the 9600 that is in the Powerbook. It was a simple fix, I guess, after I found out about pico, which I like much better that VI. Pico is much easier to lear, but does it loose any or VI/VIM's power? Well I changed a few characters in the file, and now I am up and running. I am now in search of support for my Airport Extreme card, and my video card. I have to say thought that I am very happy with Mac OS X. If only they used Linux as a base, Mac would be an overnight best-seller.

I'd like to set up a wiki using the tikiwiki software, and I'd like to set it up so that each site has it's own wiki stuffs. I have both the rpm and the source. I haven't yet found a way to have one install of the tikiwiki stuff that allows for supporting two independent wiki, so I'm guessing that I need to have two installs. Does that sound nuts? For doing a "double install", can I use the rpm, or should I try to do it from source? Thanks, -Charles --__--__-- Message: 2 Date: Fri, 9 Jan 2004 11:18:17 -1000 From: Vince Hoang <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [luau] software install question Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Fri, Jan 09, 2004 at 11:09:42AM -1000, Charles Lockhart wrote: > I haven't yet found a way to have one install of the tikiwiki > stuff that allows for supporting two independent wiki, so I'm > guessing that I need to have two installs. You can avoid installing a second instance of apache by using a virtual host or just using a different directory underneath your document root. > For doing a "double install", can I use the rpm, or should I > try to do it from source? Just chmod from the right directory and you should be safe. Chmod does not follow symlinks by default. -Vince --__--__-- _______________________________________________ LUAU mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://videl.ics.hawaii.edu/mailman/listinfo/luau End of LUAU Digest
