Dear folks, Thanks to all, especially to Lloyd Nakasone (did I get the name right? I hope so!) for the help in buying a used printer locally. I did get a used HP Laserjet 4MPlus at Royal Data Services. I didn't get as good a deal as I would have on eBay, I think, but I've got a warranty and I didn't have to pay shipping.
Prints fine. I hope it lasts as long as people have told me it might :) -- Karen Lofstrom
