I recently installed Novell Linux Desktop 9 but concluded that it did not offer any advantage over a "highly customized" FC3 (and then there are a few things I didn't like about NLD). However, I have not tried the suspend-to-ram ("standby") feature which involves a kernel patch that is included in NLD (and SuSE from which NLD was based) but has been ignored by RedHat developers.

I will try to install NLD onto the CentOS/Solaris demo at McKinley. Any Novell experts who are kind enough to show me that I am wrong will be appreciated. Wayne
