In what is being described as surreal, the Hawaii Institute of Geophysics
Building (where the mirror site is housed) along with several other buildings
where shutdown between 7am and 8:30am this Saturday so that they could be moved
from the aging upper campus power substation to the newly completed Substation.

Apparently the changeover didn't go smoothly and they blew the building fuses
for HIG and discovered that those fuses are incompatible with fuses currently
available on island. New fuses are being sourced from the mainland with hopes
they will arrive tomorrow.

So only a portion of HIG is powered and thankfully the National Weather Service
is powered which is the Hurricane Center of the Central Pacific. (Yes, the NOAA
guys have a generator)

So both mirror.ancl.hawaii,edu and
old-mirror.ancl.hawaii.edu<http://old-mirror.ancl.hawaii.edu> are down until
power is restored to HIG.
