Lubuntu Yakkety Yak Beta 1 (soon to be 16.10) has been released!
So there is a difference between the behaviour of the installed system
between Lubuntu installed via the debian installer (alternate and mini)
and via ubiquity (desktop).

To be clear, the difference is that the ubiquity version lacks the
ability to manage the wired connection?

Hi Walter,

No.

The ubiquity (desktop graphical installer) version is OK.

The debian-installer version has a working wired connection, but nm-applet cannot manage it (it is greyed out).

Best regards
Nio
