Begin forwarded message: In current version such as 15.10 that still use the gtk choosing either pinentry-gtk2 or pinentry-gnome3 just bring in the pinentry package as only additional dependency.
When we finally switch to LXQt however having to include Qt4 and Qt5 will make a bigger iso take up more memory have more places for bugs and would have artwork have to deal with themeing both Qt4 and Qt5. There does not seem to be a Qt5 version at this time but the upstream pinentry project does seem active. I am not sure if this is planned if kde moving to plasma 5 will want this eventually as well. LXQt us Qt 5 only so this might be a problem but the earlier we try to think of a solution the more options we may have in the future.
