IBM has made some press releases about putting another $1 billion into "Linux" According to the press releases much of that has to do with the Power architecture. The Ubuntu variants Kubuntu and Lubuntu have maintained PowerPC support to this date. Are the Power and PowerPC architectures similar? If so, can Lubuntu get in on what IBM is doing?
