This has nothing to do about what role shall I have with Lubuntu Community
:)
I am the creator and founder of WOWLubuntu. I am no longer interested. I am
trying to focus on the most important task/projects at the moment so I
won't burn out.

For more in depth, please have a read at:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/amjjawad/Lubuntu-Team#My_Projects_with_Lubuntu_Team

There is a link for WOWLubuntu Wiki Page where you can read and understand
why I founded WOWLubuntu and what was the purpose for all that. Too bad, it
was all that time a one-man-task + few help every now and then. Dan and
Rafael helped and that was so kind of them. I have always wanted to make
something big out of this project but due to so many roles and the limited
time, I couldn't do much. Now, I am simply handing it over to someone who
might be interested :)

That is a long story but I will be very much happy to explain it to you and
others if you are interested ;)

Yes and No. Good and Bad idea.
Yes and Good? because Lubuntu Team these days is not as active as it used
to be before.
No and bad? because each channel has its specific purpose and do a specific
task, depending on the nature of the platform of that channel.

Example: While it might be similar to someone that Facebook and Google+ are
alike, I must tell from experience that the growth on Google+ could be
super fast compared to Facebook. Even more, Twitter could be the ultimate
one when it comes to the growth and all that depends on the nature of that
platform/channel.

It is a bit tricky situation. I hope you see my point.

I do see your point but why would you shut down an already existing channel
and re-open it again? this is a waste of time, energy and resources. I hope
I did understand what you mean and if not, correct me :D

Very much interesting project. However, the current team is inactive. This
must be a community job, not a one or two men job!

But you can always change that ;)

Two simple way:
1- Cleaning up
2- Even better, get an active team (recruit or motivate the current
members).

NO worries, please feel free to say whatever you feel right and helpful :)

I understand that.

If I don't trust you, I would not make this conversation with you to begin
with :P
Hey, you can always refer back to the original founder :D :P
I can't get rid of my kids so easily heheh

That was my reply to your email.

Now, I think I must say something.

First thing first, thank you so much for:
1- Stepping in
2- Offering your help
3- Sharing your thoughts - I LOVE THAT.
4- Suggesting and giving solution instead of just highlighting the
issue/problem
5- Being so helpful and nice - this is something rare these days

Second of all, while I totally agree with you, however, there is something
very important that you and other mates need to be aware of.

Any Social Media, Facebook, Google+ and/or Twitter ... will never grow
bigger all by itself unless you feed it. Same like a planet on your garden.
Without Water, Sun and Good Soil, it will simply, die.

Any Social Media, without ANY Interaction between

Part A : the Admin and that Media

Part B: between the Admin and the Subscribers and

Part C: between the Subscribers and that Media

this site/media will:

1- Never grow up
2- Is useless

Now, here is the tricky part:
Before starting the Cleaning Up/Focus Project, you need to evaluate and
identity where the problem is? Part A? Part B? Part C?

Being a Former Comms TL for Lubuntu and being a current Founder and TL of
Ubuntu GNOME Comms, speaking from experience, and if I still may make an
observation/remark/feedback/suggestion, then I must say that the problem is
with:

Part A

Because, if Part A is active and doing well, other parts will interact
sooner or later.

Also, there is a very important note that I have raised 1-2 months ago but
NO one showed any interest and ignored that :)
The Note is: You need to understand there are two factors - Quality and
Quantity. While Quantity does matter, Quality is even more important. And
again, it is the team's job to maintain both good level of Quality and
Quantity and find a good balance between them.

Example?

Look at the Facebook Group for Lubuntu.
Before, when we had less than 300 members, the group was perfect when it
comes to quality.
Now, it has over 700 members but I'm following up with the activities. I am
sorry but the quality level is getting low big time. However, that is my
opinion :)

Back to your project, I am offering my help and full support:

Here is the list of all the channels:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Lubuntu/ContactUs

I have offered my first quick and simple evaluation to everything in this
email :)

If you or anyone else need more explanation, please ask :)
