I am not sure if am allowed to vote, but if i were i would vote #2
because having a functional yet lightweight system is more important for
most people, anyone how needs a minimal desktop would do so using the
minimal install ISO of ubuntu anyway. Marcondes wrote:

I vote for #2. I always feel that it is a waste if the full 700MB of a cd is
