I Love the second design. I know it's just a mockup but it's already
great. If canonical accepts it and so on, I could really imagine it
for our new design. So do we have again the discussion about the
colour of our logo? :-)

The just made a Mock Up. And, Xubuntu logo is the same from Ubuntu.
