I'm a long-time user of Ubuntu. Lately I've been using Openbox for my WM, so I decided to try Lubuntu and get rid of some unused overhead.
I'm also a fan of Conky, and I quickly learned that it didn't get along with pcmanfm. So I've commented it out and am using feh to manage my wallpapers. I like it for its ability to rotate wallpapers on a schedule. After some initial dismay I was pleased to find the option in Preferences to enable window manager desktop menus. A message on here today led me to the Ubuntu wiki page of derivatives, and I was surprised Lubuntu wasn't there. One confusing thing is the number of "autostart" folders and files. I managed to edit enough of them to get most things the way I want, but I still can't get alarmclock to start even though it runs fine from the menu. Is there an official Lubuntu way to autostart programs? Lane *Lane Lester* The Web Doctor <http://www.the-web-doctor.com> You can have your own website for just $10+10+10!
