i know that all derivated distros out of there are using customized themes.

personally i think that creating a integrated desktop experience is not so simple. ubuntu spends much efforts to customize his desktop.
so... why not simply use the 'normal' ubuntu theme?

this will lead also to simplify the life of all persons that use ubuntu on their desktops and love the ubuntu theme (like me), and use lubuntu on their netbook: installing the ubuntu theme and wallpaper is not so difficult.... but to find a matching openbox theme is not so simple :)

another little improvement could be to let the user to manage the lxdm theme from lxappearence.
