How odd. I was just celebrating the fact that the new 35-9 kernel had *solved* the problem for me. To boot Maverick Ubuntu (gnome), I have to edit my grub menu, but to boot Maverick Lubuntu I now need to do nothing special. If I can provide any specific details that might help, please let me know. -Bob
