Now, versions available in Maverick are backported to Lucid. It's useful if you want to test versions from Maverick without upgrading all your system. It's also useful for people who want to report bugs to test with those packages first, to see if the bug is already fixed. However, there is less testing with those packages, so if you want to keep your system more stable, don't use this PPA.
