I've not yet started testing the i386 live DE images, I will shortly, but I did test the 20110830-i386 alternate which may or may NOT be an official iso-testing image. I reported the failure in post #6 here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debian-installer/+bug/835961 I hope Jean-Baptiste Lallement doesn't shoot me.
