Hi, Andrew and Gabriel, Thank you very much for the reply. gnome-media should be a familiar option because it also exists on my Ubuntu desktop, but I will check what other options can do. The audio is currently working and it seems the problem was the speaker was put to mute although the volume control icon indicated otherwise.
