Please call Robert Ancell <robert.anc...@gmail.com>, the author of the great Lightdm. He is an expert who develops his programs with vala. For libraries not using GObject, generating vapi files, as far as I know, will be more difficult. It's a great idea. I'd like to start using vala recently. Developing gtk+ program in plain C is very time-consuming, labor-intensive, and error-prone.
