Some add-on re the problem with the black background of the login-field . . . .
Working with the recent fresh install i see, there are several problems which pop up with a black background, which makes it pretty difficult to work with. I list them: Evince (curiously: epdfview shows up correctly!) Update Manager Synaptic > Setup > Repositories Disk Utility Abiword Simple Scan Transmission File-Roller Notifications in the panel are black on black!) (I presume, there will be others as well . . .) Considering that choosing "high contrast" reverted the login field to a correct mode, i'm guessing there might be something similar in some Lubuntu or Openbox settings file . . . (?)
