Regarding problems with 20120228.1 desktop and 201202727 alternate PowerPC
Lubuntu isos, they are mostly not usable or viable for testing for me.
When might we expect the next versions? If there is any information I can
provide to help identify the cause, let me know what to look for.

Again, on my own Macs:

G3 iMac - 28.1 desktop boots to command prompt during install
G4 eMac - 28.1 desktop boots, but fails/crashes at Keyboard setup during install
G4 iBook - 28.1 desktop boots, installs

and the 201202727 alternate doesn't install properly with any of those listed
above or another user's G4 Powerbook. (Boots to command prompt.)

I'm still tinkering with the expert mode for the alternate to see if I can get
that to work.

I had a similar problem with an Ubuntu PPC 201202727 alternate, but then ran
sudo apt-get install lubuntu-desktop, then sudo apt-get install lxdm, and I was
able to boot that to an lxdm window and login in successfully.

Sincerely,
Paul Gorski

I'm not talking about any patch here. It is the result of my testing on the
current candidate ISO.

Is that patch in the latest Release Candidate for Beta 1 as we are under
'freeze' at the moment.

Phill.

as this bug is preventing people testing the RC for the beta 1, IMHO it
is a critical bug and should be marked as such. I know Rafael is pulling
his hair out. Just as annoyingly, the QA meeting is three hours before
the Lubuntu one. The bug is already all over the QA tracker like a bad
rash .. http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/reports/bugs/938472

Just to add a note, I'm ok it's ugly, but it's not a real blocker.
People still can use and install the ISO (I just done it 1 hour ago). It's
just not really pretty at this moment.
