There are MD5 checksums for the Alternate images, but not for the Desktop/Live images: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/lubuntu/daily/20120305/MD5SUMS
I tried entering a launchpad bug for that but it got marked invalid. Is there a channel through which the problem can be reported and fixed. It would be nice to be able to verify the integrity of the disc images downloaded, especially since I am finding that most don't boot.
