This isn't for LightDM, this is for LDM (the LTSP Login Manager). There currently isn't a theme for LTSP in Ubuntu, so if you run LTSP from a Lubuntu host you will get the default Ubuntu or LTSP (http://people.ubuntu.com/~jonathan/files/precise/ldm/ldm-blue.png) theme.
I went and created a LDM theme for Lubuntu (the screenshot I already mention in the original bug report). Since we're bast UIF and Beta Freeze, I just need an acknowledgement from a Lubuntu developer in order to upload this.
