I forgot to note this, two petitesses: Is it a feature or a bug? When lubuntu comes up after login sound is set by default to mute. It's not that big of a deal to turn it on ;-) but i'd consider it should, by default. Same goes for brightness. It should be at 100% by default and only reduced if a laptop/powerbook is detected *running on battery*.
