I don't know if this is related or the same: When i did an install
from scratch on Samsung 535 (2xAMD) i had no sound too. Then, i
installed pulseaudio completely and voilà after some settings sound
was back. To me, but i'm not so knowledged, seemed that only by
pulseaudio there was given the possibility to change away from hdmi as
standard output (in the alsa settings i didn't get to that).
