Hi all, this is a update on the printer not been recognized. I did a clean install of Lubuntu 13.04 beta2 and tried to install my cannon MG2120 to no luck. I then followed the instructions on the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/system-config-printer/+bug/1133794 . which said see if cups is running, by in terminal type lpstat -r. if it comes up (scheduler is not running) then start cups. sudo start cups. After i did that, I went to the system tools>printer. and was able to config my printer. So I guess that the bug still at large where 13.04 is not turning cups on by default.
