Hi,
the release team *think* that they have gotten the lubuntu-ppc-
desktop as iso size[1]. Please do check. and even if it still
oversized.. test the crap out of it. It will take more time to get
alternate correctly sized, but they do this stuff in their spare
time as it is a community supported system. I'd appreciate any
comments as to if it is.
You testers keep ppc alive for desktops; again, with the complete
respin - do have a look at kubuntu-ppc. With agreement, it now uses
the same tests as lubuntu-ppc. This will make it easier to make the
release notes of where things fail.
Regards,
Phill.

I was able to burn it to a CD. The CD size shows 701.8 MB (735,842,304
bytes). I successfully booted the following machine with the CD:
Powermac G4 MDD FW800, 1.25GHz Dual Processors, 2GB Ram, ATI Radeon
9800 Pro (flashed PC card)
I also successfully booted the following iBook G4, but I had to use a
USB flash drive because the laptop's optical drive is broken:
iBook G4, 1.33GHz processor, 1.5GB Ram, ATI Mobility Radeon 9550
I will attempt some official testing later tonight, but I'm new at
this and still not very confident as to the proper testing procedures.
