You can try to send an encrypted mail to me: do in console "gpg ----recv-keys 0x8EE1E12C". In your file ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf you would have to add: "encrypt-to 0x<here your public id>" if you want to be able to read again what you sent. (ie: I put "encrypt-to 0x8EE1E12C" at the end of my configuration file). I also have gpgme installed. (GPG made easy). And I also install/use bogofilter, then I configure Sylpheed to use bogofilter to filter spam and select the junk folder for this purpose.
