My apologies for not being active on the Lubuntu testing recently. There are family issues which sometimes have to take priority, and that will probably happen again. At any rate.....
Attempting to register my eMac equipment using the method found at: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Lubuntu/Testing/PPC%26Mac64/HardWare Under the heading "Finding the Information Needed". When I ran the command string 'hardinfo' etc. etc. I first got an error message that the system was unable to find lib/libc.so.6. Discovered that file had been relocated to /lib/powerpc-linux-gnu and was linked to libc-2.16.so. So I simply copied the link into /lib and that took care of one problem. Then I tried to run the string again. Below is a paste of the result I get: _______________________________________________________ mitch@mitch-desktop:/$ hardinfo -ram devices.so | sed '/\*\*\*\*\*\*\*/,/\*\*\*\*\*\*\*/d' | pastebinit | clipit Computer Summary WARNING: gnome-keyring:: couldn't connect to: /run/user/mitch/keyring-2ovRm9/pkcs11: No such file or directory Operating System Kernel Modules Boots Languages Filesystems Display Environment Variables Users Devices Processor Memory PCI Devices USB Devices Printers Battery sh: 0: -c requires an argument Sensors Input Devices Storage Resources mitch@mitch-desktop:/$ ______________________________________________________ Can't see where to go after that, or whether or not any information has been collected.
