You've no doubt done an internet search and discovered the same things I
did a couple of years back.
The FLOSS solutions appear to have been abandoned last decade.
The paid for solutions have such awful web sites that getting any
relevant information is nearly impossible.
Sorry for the gloom but, rolling your own seems to be the only solution
at the moment.
