Little OT: Lucky day today! I gained an old pc from a customer, was equipped with a Pentium D 945 (one of the first Intel dual core on the market, 3.4ghz with 2x2MB cache) with 2gb ram and 160gb hdd. Motherboard dead. I put ram and processor on my old-but-good Dell Gx620 and worked fine. Now I have 4GB installed but I can see just 3,2gb due to limitation of the chipset, know issue even on x64 systems. Before was a P4 3Ghz with "just" 2Gb ram. Tested a 1080p video and was smooth even without my Nvidia card: CPUs never passed 70%. Lubuntu is generally more responsive now and the difference when I use Windows XP on a VirtualBox is HUGE (need for my work), thanks to more ram available too. Anyway not bad for a 2006 cpu gained for free! :)
