Following Leszek's thought about the kernel: if it is happening several times a day, can you boot to an earlier kernel for the next couple days?

    It's an early model Intel Mac mini with 1GB of RAM and Intel(R)
    Core(TM)2 CPU T5600  @ 1.83GHz

    I have the latest kernel that is available to Saucy:

            Linux machine 3.11.0-4-generic #9-Ubuntu SMP
            Mon Aug 26 15:21:06 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

    Whatever it is, it is hitting without leaving a mark in any of the log
    files.
