Barry T,

Glad you got your situation sorted. I already had seahorse installed. I tried the option to disable autostarted applications to 'No' but that didn't work for me either. However it did make the Network Manager show up in the LXPanel twice instead of once.

I found a thread on Ubuntu Forums [http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2182986] started by someone with the same problem and someone else had advised removing 'network_gui/command=nm-applet' from the ~/.config/lxsession/Lubuntu/desktop.conf file. This worked for me to remove the second instance of Network Manager.

I also noticed desktop.conf contained the following:
[Security]
keyring=no

So, I changed it to yes. But, no difference.

Found a bug for autostart that seems eerily similar;
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxsession/+bug/1247118

I wonder if my particular situation is because I auto-login? I'm running (C4C) Lubuntu 13.10 (ReSpin). I'm about to update it and will be changing to have to provide my password to login. I'll see if that make any difference.

Autostart Ubuntu One and add to LXPanel

1. Go to Menu --> Accessories --> LXTerminal
2. Type (or copy and paste): sudo apt-get install indicator-sync
3. Go to Menu --> Preferences --> Default applications for LXSession
4. Click the "Autostart" tab
Then, in the text box under "Manual autostarted applications,"
5. Type (or copy and paste): ubuntuone-control-panel-qt --minimized --with-icon
6. Press the "+ Add" button to the left of the text box
7. Reboot

How to make the GNOME Keyring Manager behave? Got me. Sorry. Same boat here.

Hi Eric,

I had managed to install UbuntuOne, and had the icon in LXPanel. I could start the service manually but it was the autostart that was failing. I tried adding the UbuntuOne service to Default Applications For LXSession but it did not work for me, it was only when I set the option to disable autostarted applications to 'No' that the service started on the next reboot.

Installing Seahorse has made the keyring manager behave. I did not have to change any settings, it just sorted itself out after a reboot.

Are you using 14.04 or 13.10?

Regards,
Barry T
