I'm running the LXQt desktop session on Lubuntu 14.04 for some days now.

Because there doesn't seem to be a built-in clipboard saving mechanism like
the one in regular Lubuntu, I'm trying xfce4-clipman.

I also have LibreOffice Calc and I'm seeing that **if xfce4-clipman is
active**, selecting cells in LibreOffice Calc and pressing Ctrl+C causes
LibreOffice to exit immediately instead of copying the cells' contents for
pasting elsewhere. Of course, I can recovery the document but it should not
exit!

If I disable xfce4-clipman, Ctrl+C works as expected in LibreOffice Calc.

So any idea how the "final" LXQt for Lubuntu will handle the clipboard
issue? I know it's very early days and so it's okay if there isn't any
clarity as of now :)

Try Diodon and set it to open automatically at login. No problem with copy and
paste from any app I've tried it with so far and it retains the info on the
clipboard after app closure too. It's also customizable and has option(s) for
several clipboards.
