Yes, I have the nvidia drivers installed.

I think I have xcomp installed, I was trying to get DOCKY to work but
it kept leaving this black shadow on the screen

Thanks! and here is the desktop if you want it! I got it from VANILLA
DEBIAN back when I used plain debian Wheezy.

Hi,
I was wondering if this was an Nvidia issue.... I sometimes have really
odd Nvidia issues on one machine. And one of those issues is similar to
the one you described.
I had NO issues with the nouveau drivers, except that in 14.04 I cannot
resume from suspend, so I had to move to these awful proprietary
drivers, as I need suspend to work.

I would suggest trying out the nouveau drivers (if you can) and see if
you can reproduce the bug. If you cannot then it is a bug in Nvidia,
and that will probably not get fixed, unless they open source their
drivers... but that is unlikely... though intel recently open sourced
some drivers, and Nvidia has been showing GNU/Linux some love lately
with Steam drawing a lot of attention to us.
If the bug is still present we may yet still track it down!

HELLO!

oh, no, I havent tried the nouveau drivers. I instally always install the nvidia drivers for the graphics card. I will have to switch it back and see if that problem goes away and report back.
