I have an HP Officejet 7310 All-in-One printer, and it does not currently report ink levels. It seems like it has reported ink levels in the past, but only rarely (if at all - I'm not certain of this). Fortunately, I can see the ink levels by pressing the "OK" button on the printer's panel.
