Aere:

I used the "software upgrade" for an upgrade from 12.04 to 14.04 on my PPC
iBook . . . seemed to take much longer . . . but, obviously no
download/burn time for a DVD . . . but the understanding of the machine
that 12.04 had, radeon driver, no xorg.conf file needed . . . did not
transfer over . . . numerous problems . . . .  I believe I then did a
"fresh" install of 14.04 . . . been a tad "rough" in comparison to the
"nothing needed to add" in 12.04 . . . ??  14.04 doesn't seem to "get" PPC
. . . we'll see how it continues now that I can again log into a user
account . . . .
