1)- My oldest computer in daily use is a 1989, 20Mhz 80286 with 1Mby of
memory, no HD, only a floppy drive and a yellow hercules monitor running
IBM's PC-DOS.
With a terminal program with SSH I use NetBSD from a UNIX shell
provider and running lynx, links, elinks, mutt, alpine and slrn, all cli
programs.
Other computers running linux:
2)- Pentium II 333Mhz 384Mby runs LXPuppy Linux.
3)- Pentium IV 2.4MHz 1GBy runs LUBUNTU 14.04.1
4)- Celeron 420 1.6Mhz 1GBy runs XUBUNTU 12.04
5)- Celeron 430 1.8Mhz 1Gby runs XUBUNTU 14.04.1
All run very well. I like very much the one running LUBUNTU although
it's not the fastest machine.

in February, and it is still capable of running Ubuntu 14.04 very well.
