Greetings for 2015 to all Lubuntu users! I recently installed the ClamTk antivirus engine from the Lubuntu Software Centre, but the GUI won't update. It simply says* "a newer version is available". *It is currently showing version 4.45 Previously, when using Windows XP I used Clam Antivirus which seemed to do good job of picking up Trojans, etc, when other antivirus engines failed; so I imagine this is by the same company?
Also, has anyone any feedback on using the Gufw firewall (also obtained from the Software Centre)? Finally, are these necessary on Lubuntu, or should we not worry about viruses and firewalls? Thanks, Steve -- [image: web button 125x50.png]
