Hi, You need to first check the md5sum of the ISO to make sure you have the entire image file. Having a partial ISO can cause many strange issues https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM
I also highly suggest installing zsync sudo apt-get install zsync Then re zsync the ISO. This will save you from downloading the entire ISO, and only download what is new. Go to the directory where your current ISO is stored i.e. cd ~/Downloads Copy the zsync link from the downloads page and then type something like: zsync http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/lubuntu/releases/15.10/beta-2/lubuntu-15.10-beta2-alternate-i386.iso.zsync And it will finish downloading the file. It also does automatic md5sum hashing, so you do not need to check the md5sum manually. All that said... it may be just a random issue that popped up when the the ISO build was created, and not a bug. So, just zsync the ISO :) On 10/16/2015 08:08 AM, Michael Hirons wrote: > I downloaded burnt to disk and installed the Beta2 ISO.
