If you are regularly updating via the normal mechanisms, such as the "Software Updater" or the terminal then you will not need to download a security update from a website. In my experience when a security vulnerability is found I usually have the fix by the time I check for updates. So, rather than downloading something manually, (unless you are compiling your own version of Firefox), simply run the Software Updater. It will open to the tab you need to use. Change the "Download from:" drop down menu to a closer location. Now you can try again.
