Hi Steven, Thanks for your response. Unfortunately this did not help. However, I found the solution:
Go to >Preferences >Default applications for LXSession. Choose Autostart. Right after the Add button enter: ibus-daemon and click on >Add. Close the window and reboot the computer, and voilà, it works!
