Details:- Checked iso integrity with MD5SUM. ian@newton:~/isos/Xenial-Xerus/2016-04-20$ md5sum xenial-alternate-i386.iso 17186b5fcb8a01edd3d032eda5f3a0ac xenial-alternate-i386.iso Burnt it to DVD-RW, installed it onto "hawking" Samsung NC10. The install went smoothly, here are a few comments:- * A kernel parameter of "nomodeset" is no longer required. And, BTW, the screen looks crisper now. * Every so often the install would pause with no visible activity taking place. * Once booted, it could auto-mount the DVD-RW for this version but failed to auto-mount the DVD-RW of the 19th April build I would normally do a bit more testing but I'm off to bed now. It is late (22:55, BST) here.
