Ubuntu ISOs already include memory test software...

    https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MemoryTest

    HOW-TO

       1. Turn On or Restart the system
       2.

Hold down Shift or ESC to bring up the GRUB menu.
       3.

Use the arrow keys to move to the entry labeled Ubuntu, memtest86+
       4.

Press Enter. The test will run automatically, and continue
    until you end
it by pressing the Escape key
       5. Allow the test to run for at least one full pass

    Hi 0iras0r,
What graphical items did you try?

The desktop is controlled by pcmanfm

Open the file manager and go to Edit->Preferences

    Choose Display
Then change the size of 'Big' Icons to something smaller.

I am using Xenial, so you may have to look a bit harder, I don't use
this option much, but it should be easy to find

Too bad the option is so hidden, and not easy to find :(

You're right! Even with search engines I couldn't solve this simple
issue. To make Lubuntu more user friendly I think the icon resize
    could
be achieve on the Desktop preference panel, but now that I know how to
solve it, it is not that difficult.. Thank you again.
